A busy print studio in the greater London area is looking for an experienced Workflow Controller and Quality Controller on a freelance basis.

 

Workflow Controller

 

The purpose of this role is to manage the process between the Account Managers and all Global Delivery Centre (GDC) production roles, you will accept work into the GDC and plan and allocate the appropriate resource to fulfil the job requirements within the agreed timescales.

 

Key Accountabilities include: accepting workflow into the department and capturing all relevant data, assessing and allocating work requirement in relation to operator skill set and artwork / design process / software,

administrative duties including the recording of data pertaining to the work, i.e. recharging codes, type of document, document deadline and turnaround times and Operator/Designer details such as lateness and breaks as well as  ensure Operator / Designers keep to deadlines agreed by monitoring the daily work being produced in the department and re-assigning/splitting jobs where necessary.

 

The client is looking for a process driven individual capable of dealing with a high work volume, you will have a strong workflow background and possess excellent organisation skills.You have working knowledge of the processes, software and technology that supports communication services operations.

 

Knowledge of template construction and e-publishing environments is desirable

 

Quality Checker

 

A pivotal role at the end of the workflow process, to ensure  responsible for managing the QC process and recommending improvements.

 

Key Accountabilities include: checking all artwork has met the required specification as requested from the client and to ensure that the work is of the highest standards before going to press. You will work across a range of printed material including  text heavy documents, to ensure Artworkers have adhered to style and brand guidelines, have made correct amendments and colour corrections.

 

 

You are experienced in quality checking with a strong eye for detail, you are confident communicating at all levels and able to juggle a busy workload.

 

Please note this is not a proofreader role as you will be required to quality check artwork quality as well as text.
