Green Shoots Recruitment are looking for an Assistant Creative Director for a creative marketing communication agency who have been delivering highly effective brand solutions for many years.

 

Outline of role

 

Working with the Creative Director and members of the account team you will develop original creative concepts.  Understand and interpret new briefs. Take full ownership of projects from design through to implementation.  Develop appropriate creative ideas in a range of mediums.  Commission photography and illustration work. Art direct photographic shoots.  Prepare visuals, mock-ups and presentation materials. Present creative work to clients. Access creative industry materials.  Implement modifications and authors corrections.  Supervise Studio staff in the completion of artwork.   Administration and file management including job bag maintenance and keeping management information systems updated.  Day-to-day management of clients via phone, email and face-to-face meetings.

 

Qualities

 

Be immersed in and familiar with the latest design trends and marketing techniques.  Constantly monitoring technological advances in the creative industry. You will enjoy customer satisfaction both internal and external, by delivering creative solutions to the brief or presentation, on time and within budget.

 

A Strategic and innovative thinker, who is proactive, positive, and enthusiastic. Demonstrates “can do” attitude and is a great problem solver that’s commercially aware. Leads by example, but is an effective delegator.  Always takes full ownership of projects, is organised, calm under pressure and friendly, approachable and flexible – a team player.  Experience of creating on- and off-line campaigns, including brand identity, direct mail, print advertising and exhibition design.  Digital experience including email marketing, website design and construction and Smart Phone and Tablet App design and development is desirable though not essential.

 

Technical Skills

 

Strong track record of conceptualisation from brief to fully implemented campaigns. Good attention to detail and ability to take ownership and responsibility for projects. Ability to work as part of a team under pressure, multi-task and also operate independently. Good communication skills, including presentation experience at pitches and strategic meetings. Advanced user of the Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop and Acrobat) Microsoft Office – especially Powerpoint and Word. Well organised project manager.  Knowledge and experience of scheduling and buying print and other 3rd party creative specialisms, such as online and video experts.  Relevant industry qualifications and agency experience.  Desirable but not essential:  Knowledge and commercial experience of web design &  ability to produce hand drawn illustrations, visuals and scamps.
