Overview

Our client, a leading PR agency is looking for a PR Account Executive to join their talented consumer team, working predominantly across the agency’s established clients.

The right candidate will have experience of working on consumer PR accounts, ideally having previously worked in an agency, but the client will also consider in-house experience.  The right candidate will be hungry and eager to take the next step in their PR career.   

Role and responsibilities:

1. The role will see you getting stuck into delivering media coverage i.e writing press releases
2. Compiling reports for clients
3. Assisting on events
4. Working with the media – contacting journalists across consumer and online titles, as well as blogger engagement.  
5. Updating clients’ social media
6. Some administrative tasks 

Skills and experience:

1. Previous consumer PR experience, preferably within an agency – although in house PR experience will also be considered
2. You will have good writing skills and be able to juggle various tasks.
3. This would suit someone who is confident and not afraid to pick up the phone and talk to the media – and have experience of doing so. 
4. There will also be opportunity to work with the national media, with the guidance of senior members of the team.
5. Interest in and knowledge of social media is also advantageous.
