Overview
Our client is looking to recruit an Online Marketing Specialist to be responsible for implementing the digital strategy and messaging across all online channels throughout the organisation, acting as the central point of excellence for online marketing, processes and best practice.
Role and responsibilities:
- Project manage large and small scale website projects from writing initial scoping documents to live delivery
- Responsible for the delivery of training across all of the organisation’s CMS and online tools to staff and editors when required
- Working closely with and managing various design and web development agencies you will ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget
- Management of all Content Management Systems across the charity including EPiServer and WordPress, ensuring that all websites are up
- Ensuring all content and editorial updates are made across all websites including the staff Intranet daily and weekly working closely with PR
- Responsible for the management and implementation of all PPC campaigns and other SEO optimisation techniques
- Producing monthly Google Analytic reports to key staff and disseminate information and findings, feedback on improvements and implement where necessary
- Act as an ‘expert’ in all areas of digital marketing by continually researching and developing new website technologies and platforms, such as mobile and social media assets and making recommendations to the organisation.
Social Media
- Oversee and act as the internal expert for social media. Develop and lead in this area ensuring that the organisation is engaging with stakeholders through this channel
- Responsible for posts/tweets to all applicable social media outlets. The candidate will coordinate the marketing calendar with online activity, track social media activity and ensure consistency of message across the organisation.
- Responsible for continuously monitoring social media usage statistics and make recommendations on how to grow audiences and cultivate new communities
- Experience implementing a digital strategy across all online channels and gaining support from departments within an organisation.
Skills and experience
- Experience in similar role working in a marketing environment.
- Photoshop
- Advanced experience with CMS Website accessibility/ user experience Google Analytics
- SEO
- Content writing experience
- Strong organisational skills and ability to work to targets and deadlines.
- Project Management (ideally client side)
- Experienced in working with social media platforms (Facebook & Twitter)
