Overview

Our client is looking to recruit a Marketing Specialist who can support the marketing and communications team raise the profile and awareness of the organisation providing marketing and communications support to your stakeholders. The successful candidate will also take a lead role in research, co-ordinate and manage marketing and communications projects providing technical support to the wider marketing team

Role and responsibilities:

1. Work with the Marketing and Communications Manager to develop tactical marketing and communications plans and activity, that directly supports the achievement for each division’s business plan 
2. Create and coordinate marketing and email campaigns in conjunction with the Marketing and Communications Manager
3. Provide general marketing advice and support 
4. Account manage a portfolio of services by project managing the marketing and communications activity
5. Support the Marketing and Communications Manager with the implementation of the external communications plans and objectives
6. Project manage and develop collaterals including design and copy-writing, including liaison with external design agency and printers
7. Keep current with emerging web technologies to ensure relevant social media campaigns are exploited

Skills and experience:

1. Experience of working within a similar role
2. Understanding of the purpose of marketing and communications and its function within an organisation
3. Sound experience of delivering and achieving success in PR
4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and build effective relationships
5. Proven copy writing skills
6. Accuracy and attention to detail
7. Proven track record of producing creative and innovative campaigns or collaterals
8. Articulate with strong communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal
9. Demonstrable creative design skills and expertise

Project management and account / product  management experience gained within an marketing team or agency
