High profile not for profit company based in North London need a Designer/Creative Manager to lead a small team and be responsible for the following
Creative development and management
o Graphic design
o Illustration
o Layout
o Imagery
o Photography
o Typography
• Manage the workflow of design
• Manage the workload of two designers
• Work with members of the marketing team to devise excellent creative solutions
Work with other members of the marketing team, develop the creative element of marketing communication concepts, campaigns and collateral
Design
• Lead on developing the design and brand character for the graphic element of the company brand
• Liaising with a wide range of staff to capture and understand messages, facts and figures for developing campaigns
• Accurately interpreting and implementing design briefs
• Accurately interpreting and incorporating design amendments from various stakeholders
• Researching and designing to the highest standard for a range of campaigns including but not limited to printed literature, direct mail, emails, storyboards and web
• Interpreting marketing research and applying learnings to develop appropriate communications
• Design a range of materials to final artwork stage
• Consult with internal clients to understand the purpose of their materials at the start of projects and agree realistic timeframes
• Ensure that materials and products are produced on-time and to high standards
• Work with digital marketing colleagues to ensure the brand is correctly represented online
Project management and project support
• Build excellent relationships with internal stakeholders and provide new ideas and directions to better engage with our external stakeholders
• Working alongside agencies by assisting with the development of appropriate design and concepts for campaigns
• Managing schedules and sign off processes for individual projects
• Liaising with internal clients and the design team on projects to ensure excellent customer service is provided to everyone we work with
Person Specification
The following attributes are considered essential for the job:
– Good understanding of printing and production processes
– Good knowledge of typography
– Good artworking skills
– Ability to prioritise workload and to deliver to tight deadlines
– Confident using Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator (CS5)
– Good team player
– Organised, diplomatic, with excellent communication skills
– Attention to detail
The following attributes are considered desirable for the job:
– Good writing and proof-reading skills
– Some experience in online design
– Experience of working with brand guidelines

Conditions of employment
