Overview

This is a Mid or Senior level Visual UI (with UX) Design position based in the Thames Valley. Alongside a generous salary this company also offer a very good benefits package.

The bulk of this role is focussed on Graphic UI Design but elements of UX/ Interaction Design will also be involved – wireframes, user journeys and prototypes should all be familiar in your design repertoire.

Your role will be to put in place the graphical elements for this firms user interfaces. Working together with other team profiles in the UK and US, your job will be to ensure their software and web interfaces are polished and easy to use.

Basing your designs on pre-defined requirements, you will come up with prototypes and production-ready assets to pass over to the engineering team.

You will have at least 3+ years commercial experience and be able to provide a portfolio of designs you have created in Photoshop, Fireworks, Illustrator or similar.

Alongside creative and technical skills, you will have a strong sense of what you like, be able to back up your design decisions, and liaise between international teams to decide upon the best creative solutions. You won’t be shy to justify your viewpoint to other team members, and you will be a fluent and confident in communicating and presenting over timezones when necessary.

You will be someone who is happy to focus on a select number of products; dedication to maintaining and evolving this firms’ brand is of utmost importance, and will not suit someone looking for an agency-style environment.

Due to the international nature of this company, regular travel will be part of this role – you can look forward to quarterly trips to the USA!
