Green Shoots Recruitment are assisting with the recruitment of a good all-rounder writer, someone who is firstly a Copywriter with proof reading ability who also can support the PR activity.  Due to an expansion programme the marketing team has increased in size including the setup of an in-house creative team.  To support the marketing communications and creative team they require a versatile individual who can support the team in the areas of copywriting, proof reading and public relations.

 

You’ll be responsible for writing for a wide range of web and print projects, including brochures, direct mail, websites, blogs, company internal magazine and proof reading creative work, so a sharp eye for detail is essential.  This is a varied role which will involve working with colleagues across the business.

 

In addition you’ll be working in a busy team and with their PR agency to generate positive publicity for the company by initiating and developing contact in national, regional and specialist press, broadcast and online media.  Writing and distributing press releases to promote the company to customers and within the industry.

 

The Person:

 

The ideal candidate will have excellent attention to detail, particularly written grammar.  The ability to write for a range of audiences and adapt to a variety of writing styles is important.  This will be an extremely busy role and requires you to be able to focus on each specific project.  You will need to be able to extremely organised with the ability to manage multiple tasks to tight deadlines.  Experience of writing in house magazines and publications would be an advantage.

 

It is important to have a ‘can-do’ attitude and be a team player.

 

The desire to do a job well but have some fun doing it is a must.
