Green Shoots Recruitment Limited is working with an award-winning design and digital agency, to recruit a business developer marketing person.    Their services spans: branding; visual identity; packaging; print advertising; and a full range of digital services.

 

Business Development – 80% of the role

 

They are looking for an outstanding, experienced sales executive to drive the new business for the company, in particular our recently extended digital offering. Working alongside the Managing Director the successful candidate will be selling the companies award winning portfolio to key points of contact within entertainment and lifestyle sectors.

 

They have an impressive client base, their key sectors currently include:  well-known names in video games; tv; film; music; and fashion.

 

This is a target driven, sales based role where an excellent telephone manner and tenacious attitude is key. However, given the nature of the business you must also be comfortable selling in the creative offering and will understand that ‘hard sales’ doesn’t work in this sector. This role would particularly suit someone who has previously worked in this industry or an agency environment.

 

Marketing and PR – 20% of the role

 

In addition to the business development responsibilities, this person will also play a significant role in promoting the company through marketing and PR activities. Taking responsibility for the management of the PR and marketing activities, you will also write copy for the marketing credentials, write copy for the news articles, contribute to the company blog, and manage the company’s social media accounts. As well as sound written and grammatical skills, the ideal candidate would also be social media savvy in order to manage relevant communications on appropriate platforms for the company.

 

Responsibilities

 

• Identifying new contacts and cold calling

• Telemarketing existing contacts

• Identifying new targets and sectors to approach

• Writing sales emails/ letters.

• Sending our marketing collateral

• Attending trade shows to generate new prospects/ meet existing clients

• Database management

• New business reporting: pipeline, summaries and forecasting

• Booking and attending client meetings

• Keeping the credentials library updated with new projects: writing copy and liaising with designers on getting images ready

• Writing news articles and blog posts

• Managing company social media accounts

The position is full time, hours are Monday – Friday 10.00am-6.30pm
