Overview

Our client, a highly successful and creative marketing agency are currently seeking an experienced Account Director to join their team. This is an eleven month contract to cover maternity leave, and will involve taking overall responsibility for the management and growth of client business.

With a background in creative agency account management/direction, you will be strong team leader with an entrepreneurial and innovative approach.

Duties include:

• Managing a team of seven account handlers as well as high-level clients
• Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of each client business and the industry they operate in
• Maintaining strong relationships with senior clients, visiting regularly
• Identify opportunities to grow revenue from existing or new clients business by being pro-active
• Be accountable for quality of strategic and creative response to client briefs
• Prepare insightful creative briefs (for large projects) and lead creative briefing sessions
• Prepare and agree ongoing retainer contracts
• Prepare and deliver retainer analysis to keep clients informed of financial status’
• Prepare scope of work and project costs 
• Support clients in preparing their strategic marketing plans
• Maintain good relationships with senior media partners

Skills required:

• Strong agency Account Management/Direction experience gained within a similar role
• Experience of juggling multiple high-level clients
• Great team leader 
• Entrepreneurial and innovative 
• Ability to delegate whilst maintaining support 
• Passionate and motivated by creativity 
• Excellent communication and presentation skills both verbal and written 
• Good negotiation skills 
• Ability to build strong relationships
