Our client is a specialist web development and programming agency. They provide a range of web development, design, marketing and programming services to a variety of clients – from small local businesses up to multi-national corporations. 

Responsibilities – Senior Back-End PHP Web Developer

  1. Programme, develop and support high-quality PHP web applications, Magento e-commerce sites and database-driven websites for a variety of clients.
  2. Provide advice, guidance and support in technical matters to the rest of the technical team.

Skills Required – Senior Back-End PHP Web Developer

  1. Writing custom PHP and MySQL code / applications
  2. Knowledge of HTML / CSS / JavaScript would be beneficial, though not essential as this is a mainly back-end programming role

Experience Required – Senior Back-End PHP Web Developer

  1. A strong technical background developing PHP websites / applications
  2. Considerable experience with the Magento e-commerce system would be extremely beneficial
  3. Experience integrating database-driven websites with 3rd party systems
  4. Experience developing with version control systems
  5. Considerable experience with WordPress would be beneficial
  6. Experience developing within an MVC framework

Desirable Experience

  1. Knowledge and experience of server / sysadmin would be desirable
  2. Experience within a digital agency environment is desirable
