Overview
Our client is looking to recruit a Marketing Manager who will be responsible for managing the marketing team and delivering all
marketing activities through multiple channels, including digital, print, radio, and outdoor. This also includes the commissioning of
photography/video and leveraging media, sponsor, exhibitor and team partnerships. The role will also involve setting the marketing strategy for
each business area with the Head of Event Marketing to ensure that strategies effectively deliver budgeted revenues and responsible for the
creation of marketing plans.
Marketing Manager- Role and responsibilities:
- You will design, deliver and own the annual marketing, communications and PR strategy and work closely with the Head of Events Marketing.
- Effectively manage the established marketing budget and campaigns measured enabling you to demonstrate ROI against all initiatives
- Ownership and management of the Marketing Activity Plan
- Manage a marketing communications team to ensure the efficient delivery of the following:
- Content management of the website and all other digital channels, ensuring a 365 day approach focussing on all key opportunities in addition to the main events season across all digital platforms.
- The management of all e-shots to achieve maximum ROI.
- Print production from concept to delivery.
- Identification and negotiation of the most appropriate and effective advertising channels.
- Managing the offline marketing team to ensure the efficient implementation of the booking of relevant print, radio and outdoor advertising
- Photography commissioning from brief to delivery.
- Liaising with PR to ensure any marketing activity is closely and logically aligned to PR activity to maximize ROI.
Marketing Manager – Skills and experience:
- Previous experience of working in an events related business in a marketing communications managerial role
- Proven commercial success experience
- Busy, project and deadline driven environment experience
- Experience of delivering on marketing strategies to meet Company objectives
- Experience of customer profiling and data acquisition
- You will be a creative thinker who can brings fresh ideas to the business
- You will create strategies and turns them into actions
- You will demonstrate the full range of channel marketing skills
- You must be commercially minded and results orientated
- You must have the ability to manage, motivate and drive a team
- You must be an excellent communicator
- You must have the ability to prioritise and manage several projects at once
