Our client, a successful, well established communications agency in Hampshire are looking to open a brand new branch in Manchester, and need to recruit a new Account Director to lead the team. 

You will need to have a background in public consultation gained in the north of England. Experience of working in northern boroughs and good political contacts are crucial. The successful candidate will have an excellent understanding of and extensive experience within property and planning and be enthusiastic to work on strategic projects in the region.

This is a critical role for the company, specifically leading and co-ordinating the effective delivery of client projects and growth.

Account Director Duties Involve:

1. Executing creative engagement programmes to help achieve your clients’ objectives.
2. Carrying out direct liaison with clients, stakeholders and members of the public.
3. Producing concise and compelling collateral material.
4. Securing consent for planning applications.
5. Possibly carrying out wider public affairs campaigns depending on your experience.
6. Managing client accounts as well as Account Managers and Account Executives.

Account Director Skills Required:

1. Understand the property and planning sector and how local government works
2. Communicate well with strong political connections, writing and inter-personal skills
3. Demonstrate drive, commitment and a focus to producing work of the highest standard
4. Have attention to detail, excellent workload management and be a good team player
5. You will also have experience of managing people.
