Overview
Our client, a leading digital agency, working across a full range of projects are looking to recruit 2 Account Managers. The overall aim of the posts are to retain and grow the existing client base achieving increased income and profit.
Key to achieving this will be; an ability to develop close client relationships, assess and develop revenue growth opportunities; and strong team working skills. Excellent communication skills and attention to detail are also essential.
The role is a combination of technical ability, relationship focus, sales and opportunity spotting (commercial awareness) in that order. The ideal candidate will have web or technology experience, technical project skills, ability to work to timelines and account growth experience within an agency or similar work.
Key Responsibilities
- Work with the Head of Client Services and key customer delivery/operational colleagues to define and deliver agreed account plans and profitably grow the customer base.
- Establish, maintain and manage the wider customer relationship. Ensure high levels of client knowledge of the agencies services – talking the clients through their digital project needs.
- Achieve maximum financial advantage for the agency through the creation of strong value driven sales and close working with internal partners to deliver the most appropriate and cost-effective solutions.
- Liaise with the appropriate customer delivery colleagues to ensure a sound working knowledge of accounts and a joined-up approach to growth opportunities.
- The post holder may also be required to own and deliver some new business opportunities with potential new client
Skills and experience:
- Educated to degree level or equivalent work/life experience.
- Proven experience and demonstrable success in digital account management.
- Experience in web projects
- Success in delivering digital outsourced services to high value clients.
- Experience of influencing senior executives, decision makers and colleagues.
- Excellent research, networking, analytical and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent project management skills, report writing and presentation skills.
- Ability to work on own initiative and under pressure to tight deadlines.
- Ability to create, develop and maintain strong working relationships with clients and colleagues at all levels.
- Excellent relationship management and negotiation skills, with experience of managing and influencing multiple clients.
- Ability to apply creative problem solving in pressured situations
